To oil the grill grates, dampen a folded paper towel with vegetable oil, hold it with tongs and rub it over the grates. - form the beef into 4 patties
- then add to a pre-heated pan on a medium to high heat. I tend to add a drop of olive oil, but not necessary
- watch carefully, they will only take a couple of minutes. once you see the beef cooked half way as shown here, carefully flip your burgers
- and add the onion to cook down in the beefy juices
- let the burgers rest for a couple of minutes, then serve up on a delicious bun and top with the grilled onions
