- First wash and Soak dal and kidney beans overnight in enough water then drain them well.
- Add them in a pressure cooker,add required water and cook for 7-8 whistles.
- Add tomatoes in a blender jar and make puree.keep aside.
- Making Dal Makhni - Heat butter in a pan add all whole spices and saute till the spices become aromatic.
- Add finely chopped onion and saute on low flame till they become light golden.
- Add ginger garlic paste,stir again and saute till the raw aroma goes away.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, stir, add chopped green chillies and tomato puree,stir well.add nutmeg powder and saute until oil comes on the surface of the masala.
- Add cooked dal and rajma along with it's stock,add more water as required stir well,add salt and simmer on low flame.
- When dal makhni has start to begun thick add cream and cook until you get desired consistency of dal.do keep on stirring at intervals.
- Add kasoori methi,stir well,add butter and switch off the flame.
- Add fresh chopped coriander and serve hot with Naan, roti or with rice.
