- First wash the rice and soaked in water for half hour.wash the Vegetables and cut the carrot and capsicum in cubes.cut onion into thin slices, chopped the tomatoes roughly. Crushed the ginger garlic and two green chillies in mortal & pastel. keep aside.
- Take a pressure cooker,add ghee and heat it then add onion fry untill they turn golden brown.transfer in a bowl.keep it aside.now put whole spices in cooker saute few seconds.then add crushed ginger, garlic and chillies,saute one minutes then add tomato.mix well.add salt, red chilli powder, biryani masala and all vegetables.mix all together cook 3-4 minutes on high flame.
- Now add soaked rice, buttermilk and add salt as per taste.add half fry onion.mix all well.cover and pressure cook for two whistle.turn off the flame.release the pressure naturally.open the lid check it. Add remaining fry onion.now Buttermilk veg biryani is ready to serve.
