The ingredients needed to make Blackberry Hummus:
- Get 2 punnets fresh raspberry (frozen could work)
- Make ready 1 tin chick peas
- Make ready 1 1/2 lemons (juice)

- Prepare 1 lrge clove garlic
- Make ready 1 good amount of salt
- Take 1 goog glug of olive oil, extra to drizzle after
- Get I didnt add any pepper, but a bit of white pepper might work well
Reserve a few whole chick peas for serving. Combine the chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, tahini, and water in a food processor, and blend to a creamy. Drain and tip the chickpeas into a food processor. Season with a pinch of sea salt, then pop the lid on and blitz.
Steps to make Blackberry Hummus:
- In a food processor blitz the chick peas, tahini, garlic and berries until smooth.
- Add the lemon, mint and olive oil and blitz again, adding more oil whilst its mixing if needed. Taste, season, re taste etc
- To serve pour onto a nice platter and decorate with more berries, mint, seeds etc and drizzle with more oil. Serve with flatbread or anything you fancy.
Drain and tip the chickpeas into a food processor. Season with a pinch of sea salt, then pop the lid on and blitz. Use a spatula to scrape the houmous down the sides of the bowl, then blitz again until smooth. Perfectly good hummus can be made using tinned chickpeas but if you have time, and you want something a bit special, cooking dried chickpeas from scratch creates a lovely texture and flavour. Hummus, that creamy dip that hails from the Middle East, has a reputation as a clean, healthy food.
