Mix all of it gently and then refrigerate the mixture for an hour. Make small cutlets with your palm and coat well with the beaten egg and roll over bread crumbs. Take a pan and pour sufficient oil for frying.

- Debone the sardine and discard the oil which comes in the tin. Shred the sardines in a large bowl.
- Add onion, green chillies and coriander leaves and all the powdered masala along with the lime juice.

- After the mixture is mix well form into small cutlets. Beat an egg. Coat the cutlets with the egg and then coat it with breadcrumb for a crispy crust.
- Take some oil in a pan and fry the cutlets till it's brown and crispy.
- Serve with green chutney, mayonnaise or tomato sauce.

Fry both sides of the sardine cutlet until golden brown in color. Into a pan or kadai add in the cleaned fish, turmeric powder, pepper powder, vinegar, salt, and water. Mix well and cover and cook the fish (allow the water to dry up).
